Freedom Boat Club has been in business since 1989. We’re the world’s largest and oldest members-only boat club, with over 400 locations worldwide. We launched here in Australia in 2023 and rapidly expanding.

Our reservation system ensures that all members have equal access to the boats, plus members can make guaranteed reservations up to six months in advance.

No, you will never have usage charges. Your only additional cost is for the fuel that you use.

Boat usage is unlimited at your home location, subject to weather and availability.

Reserving a boat has never been easier. Simply log in to your reservation dashboard and choose your desired date, vessel, and time slot.

We maintain a variety of boats. Each club location chooses its own fleet based on the needs and demands there. Feel free to browse through the individual club location pages on the website to view their fleet.

You have access to a fleet of boats. This means you can choose one boat or another depending on your plans for the day: cruising, fishing, towing …

We handle the refuelling of the boats so you do not need to worry about finding fuel on water.

As long as a member is present and in charge of the boat, you can bring friends, family, guests, children, colleagues, or even your favourite pet. Please note National Park Locations have restrictions.

Membership is open to boaters of any skill level, 21 years of age and older. Whether you’ve never boated before, or you’ve boated for years, Freedom Boat Club welcomes you as a member. Unlimited training is offered as part of your membership to ensure you are safe and confident on the water.

Yes, becoming a member of Freedom Boat Club gives you reciprocal access at over 400 locations across Australia, North America and Europe.

Freedom Boat Club is a major proponent of boater education and safety. Each and every one of our Clubs provide free training to our local members regarding the safe use and operation of your ‘home club’ fleet. This generally includes classroom and on-water training activities. Members must complete this training course before they can start reserving boats.

Never. This is a private fleet. We do not rent any of the boats in our fleet. This allows us to better maintain the condition of our boats and ensures the highest possible level of fleet availability to our members.

All our boats are fitted with required safety gear for the local conditions. This equipment is checked daily by our dock staff, plus you will be shown where it is on the boat every time you check out for a day on the water.

At Freedom Boat Club here in Australia and across the world, we all have one thing in common. We are all passionate about life on the water, and we love to celebrate it! As a member you will be able to meet other members and spend good times together at social events such as after-works, fishing training sessions, wakeboaring sessions, you name it! Learn about and share your passion!

The club will show you through the local areas and boundary lines. This is dependant on the AMSA regulations of each vessel.
